PWMA x ADAHK Community Arts Partnership: Food Modelling Workshop

PWMA was delighted to collaborate with Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong on 29 June to hold a Food Modelling Workshop at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre with PWMA’s 2024 Apprenticeship cohort and the local Disabled Association Community. A rewarding and fun day filled with learning, creativity, and collaboration started with a Disabled Awareness Training session conducted by ADAHK. The Apprentices and Community Participants then enjoyed a shared workshop on shaping art materials into miniature food models. The joy and sense of accomplishment on the participants’ faces was truly heartwarming, which marked the success of the workshop.

We were grateful to have this opportunity to learn about some of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and participate in community building through collaboration and artistic expression. We were proud to foster creativity, break down barriers and stereotypes while developing a better understanding of the disabled community.

Special thanks to Anna Wang from BNP Paribas for her mentorship and joining this event. Also heartfelt thanks to our PWMA project committee: Alice Lau, Jamie Wong and Janice Fan for their unwavering support and dedication.
