Following the FSDC’s publication of its report “Cementing Hong Kong’s Role as a Premier Private Wealth Management Hub,” PWMA invited FSDC and several contributors to a panel discussion on 2 November 2022. After a brief summary of the report’s findings and recommendations, speakers shared their views on the implications of the findings. Topics included AML/CFT practices in private wealth management, the professional investor and suitability framework in Hong Kong, talent development and the implications of Hong Kong’s new policy statement on virtual assets.
