The third annual Wealth Management Summit was a full-day event and attracted over 800 participants. The Association was honoured to have Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, deliver the Keynote Speech and Arthur Yuen, Deputy Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, participate in a lively “fireside chat” session on banking supervision. Other highlights of the event included a presentation by KPMG on the findings from the PWMA-KPMG annual survey and White Paper; a CEO Panel discussion featuring leading regional heads of private wealth management discussing those findings and their views on the industry’s outlook; a provocative presentation by independent economist Andy Xie on the implications of heightened Sino-US trade tensions; and panel discussions on the future of private wealth management in China and the digital tipping point for private banking.
