PWMA is very delighted to co-host a webinar with the @Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA) last week on the topic “Sustainable Finance in China”, inviting @Dr. Guo Peiyuan from SynTao Green Finance and China SIF to share the findings based on his research report “Top 10 Trends of Responsible Investment in China 2024”.

In the webinar, Dr. Guo highlighted the key trends of sustainable investment in Mainland China. First, he highlighted the regulators’ support of green and inclusive finance, strengthening of ESG regulations and launching of local green finance initiatives. Then, he discussed the trends of transitional finance becoming a new growth potential with the insurance sector driving ESG growth. He also provides insight into the green debt market and the change in the disclosure standard landscape after the release of two new standards by the International Sustainable Standards Board (ISSB).
