From November 11 to 15, 2019, 10 talented young bankers from PWMA member firms in Hong Kong took part in five days of study, training and experience sharing, aimed at helping them understand and learn from the Swiss experience in private wealth management. They helped us launch a Talent Exchange Program jointly organized by the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) and PWMA and agreed between our two organizations in an MoU signed back in January 2018.
On 12 November, 2019, our delegation took part in the Hong Kong Swiss Financial Seminar, co-organized by the SBA and PWMA in Bern, where we had speakers from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Financial Services Development Council as well as SBA and PWMA. PWMA Chairman Amy Lo also flew over to deliver welcome remarks and join the panel on further opening of China’s financial markets, the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong.
We sincerely thank the SBA for organizing a rich agenda that included presentations by experienced practitioners, and meetings with Bank of International Settlements and the Swiss National Bank, The Swiss Stock Exchange, UBS, Julius Bär and EFG.
